I have been wanting to do something with water for awhile, it's something I don't really like to do, because of the difficult shadeing and all, but it was actually pretty fun to create.
Her name is Neris, and she has been a character of mine for a loooooonnngggg time, ever since I first saw "The Little Mermaid" haha I had a little mermaid moment for about 3 weeks and I came up with this character XP. She was originally a blonde, but I changed it to black because I like the way it looks in the water more so..sry blondes no offense hehe. She is a siren that follows the old ancient tales accordingly as far as luring unsuspecting sailors to thier doom with her song. But Neris has been known to spare those who can present her with the grand(est) of all gifts.
This is the day version of this peice, the night version can be seen here [link] I couldn't choose which one I liked more so I submitted both hehe Enjoy!! has the right to use this image in their gallery. Tools: Photoshop cs2, wacom tablet

Flowers can grow from the gutter; art can come from the guttermouthed.
Ink looks better in person.
